Baking or playing? You decide!

Accommodation is self-catering, which means that students will be expected to cook for themselves. A meal allowance* is included in the Programme fees sufficient to cover meal costs, provided that students learn how to shop and cook for themselves. A 'welcome pack' of food on arrival day and a shopping tour with ASE staff help students to get started.

A Clarendon feast

The kitchens are fully equipped with an oven, refrigerator, microwave, cooker, toaster and iron. Dishes, pans, utensils and other essential cooking equipment have also been provided. Shopping and eating together are very much features of ASE's communal housing, and contribute to the remarkable friendships that develop between students participating in the ASE Programme. This also encourages independence and assists in the process of integration in the community.

*£30 per week. NB: Whilst in Oxford and Stratford the meal allowance is augmented to offset the increased expense of restaurant dining.
