Classical and Modern Languages
Tutorials in Classical and Modern languages are available for those students who have already begun the study of a classical or modern language and who wish to pursue it further as part of their work at ASE. Language tutorials are usually taught in Oxford, either individually or in pairs. This format is ideally suited to help the transition from intermediate to more advanced levels of linguistic competence. Studying a language at ASE represents a special opportunity to continue or complete a language requirement in an intensely rewarding way.
Languages taught in the past include: Ancient Greek, Latin, Italian, French, Spanish, Russian, Polish and Japanese.
Students applying for a language tutorial are requested to enclose with their application a letter indicating the language they wish to study, their level of proficiency, and any other details of their proposed course of study.
