About this trip

On this day trip the class will visit two of the best preserved Roman sites in southern Britain. At Caerleon we shall visit the most completely excavated roman legionary fort in the British Isles, with its bath house (which students will compare with the palatial facilities back in Bath) and amphitheatre. We will also visit the National Legionary Museum. In the afternoon we move on to nearby Caerwent a somewhat sleepy south Wales village that nestles within the massive remains of the town walls of the tribal capital of the Silures.
