Student Affairs Assistant

Hugh joined the ASE team in August 2018. He completed his BSc in Environmental Resource Geology at the University of Manchester, before gaining some professional experience in the recruitment industry. Prior to joining ASE Hugh had spent three months travelling around SouthEast Asia, crossing Vietnam by motorbike.

As a recent graduate, Hugh is up to date with the latest student trends, including all social, travel and cultural aspects. At ASE, Hugh works alongside Emma, and is responsible for helping with the social welfare and cultural integration of students during their time here in Bath. It also involves managing the team of student helpers, assisting with the running of the social and cultural programme, who I liaise with on a daily basis. It is Hugh who is primarily responsible for fostering and maintaining meaningful links between ASE students and local volunteering agencies, clubs, sports teams and societies.
