Volunteering in Bath:
Making a difference in your home away from home

ASE students have always found new and interesting ways to make their time in Bath more memorable. Perhaps the most rewarding manner to go about this is through volunteering, which provides an opportunity not only to meet people within the community but to give back to the beautiful city you are living in and help the less-fortunate. There are countless prospects for those looking to volunteer while on ASE in areas such as working with animals, helping the underprivileged, the sick, the elderly, or even conservation work in the British countryside. In the past, students have done volunteer work at Bath's homeless shelter Julian House, walking dogs and cuddling cats at the RSPCA, assisting patients at the Royal United Hospital, distributing copies of the Big Issue magazine to homeless vendors and attended working holidays with the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers. No matter what your interest, the ASE staff can help you make a match at the Bath Volunteer Bureau.
