The Belonging Network is a community organisation with a focus on supporting people from underrepresented backgrounds in the workplace, in Bath and North East Somerset. We offer mentoring, training and support to students and people in work, and spearhead a variety of initiatives to promote belonging in the workplace, and in Bath as a whole.

This internship offers the chance to learn about community organising in a hands-on way. The intern’s role will be varied and tailored to their specific skills and interests, but could include: social media and marketing, organising events, working on community projects, and research. The Belonging Network works closely with several other community groups, charities and organisations, including Fairfield House, home of His Imperial Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I, between 1936 and 1941.

The intern has the opportunity to become involved in projects related to those organisations, working with The Belonging Network as it seeks to promote greater diversity and inclusion in the city. Besides having a positive and measurable impact on The Belonging Network and those we work with, the intern will discover tools to help them cultivate a sense of belonging for themselves.
